Tessa Stanley grew up on a farm in Northern Alberta where she gained an early appreciation for nature and the outdoors. She began exploring her interest in art through night classes and courses, while working and raising a family. In 2018, after completing a Fine Arts Diploma from the University of Alberta, she became a full-time artist and instructor.
Tessa enjoys using a variety of mediums, including oils, acrylic and watercolours to create landscape, portraits and still life paintings. Having Métis heritage, she also enjoys creating beautiful beaded objects and sharing this knowledge with other Métis learners. Tessa loves to hike, bike, cross country ski and travel with family. Tessa collects ideas and plein air paintings as she goes.

EXCITING TIMES! I will be adding my art and beadwork to the fabulous art / craft selection found at the Fernie Arts Co-op. I have been doing layouts of paintings to see what will fit. I am also going to try setting up my tent at the Fernie Mountain Market in July as well as …
Moccasins and mittens are under construction.
